Program Objectives
Living Independent Fair and Equal is an Independent Living Skills (#HM0560) and Supported Living Services (#PM1183) Vendor. Along side these services, L.I.F.E. is a vendor of Parenting Support Services (#PM2114).

​​Individuals with developmental, mental and physical disabilities are entitled to live, work and enjoy the world in which we live. We offer the opportunity to develop their independence, personal goals, values, style of living and social skills. We support their ongoing efforts to attain a self reliant life filled with dignity, confidence and self respect. If their needs are delicate towards ours we shall accept their necessities and differences with out judgment.

ILS:
Independent Living Skills
Independent Living Skills is what L.I.F.E. teaches its person serves to help them achieve their goals in specific areas such as money management, cleaning, medical, health, support & self-empowerment, home & community safety, shopping, cooking, personal health & hygiene, housing, IHSS, immigration, benefits & entitlements, emergency preparedness, and independent recreation.

Our goals are for our person-serves to live active lifestyles, and feel confident about their lives. To qualify for our services, the potential member needs to be a person-served of a Regional Center and must request services through their Service Coordinator. L.I.F.E.'s main requirement is a willingness to be an active participant in their program objectives and possess a desire to achieve their goals with supervision and assistance with the help of their personal attendant caregiver. Once enrolled in our program, the person served becomes an active participant in the development and implementation of their Individual Program Plan (I.P.P.) and Individual Service Plan (I.S.P.).
SLS:
Supportive Living Services
Supported Living Services are similar to Independent Living Skills, only the needs of a person served are typically increased due to not having other in home support or supervision. Usually, a supported living person served is living independently in their own residence (not with a relative) and requires extra support meeting their daily living needs. The support of a person served is personalized to their lifestyle and goals. In this program, we always encourage independence and self-reliance. Our personal attendant caregivers assist participants with daily living skills. Supported Living persons serves enjoy working with their personal attendant caregivers.


SLS:
Supportive Living Services
With a nursing component
SLS with a nurse consultant is a unique service for those that are enrolled in SLS and require a nurse consultant and minimal oversight due to a restricted health condition such as Epilepsy, Cancer, Diabetes, or other serious health conditions. A nurse consultant is an addition to the person-served SLS service. This additional service must be requested and approved by the Regional Center of Orange County.
​PSS:
Parenting Support Services

Parenting Support Services are designed to assist individuals with developmental disabilities who are parents by providing foundational parenting skills while also offering personal support. This often-overlooked population is among the most underserved. Our services offer a non-judgmental approach, allowing these parents to learn and practice safe parenting techniques. These services are tailored to meet the specific needs of the parent and are not intended for direct one-on-one care with the child.
